ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Esther Laverne Christilles Myers, a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 7:47 a.m. in the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville at the age of 79 years and 30 days. Esther was born March 12, 1933, in Mason, the daughter and only child of Alex and Totsie Wooten Christilles.

After graduation from high school, Esther attended college, and was a homemaker and a lifelong caring, and loving person, always ready and willing to help others. Esther married Oliver Earl Myers in 1952.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Oliver Earl Myers, in 1992.

Esther is survived by her son, Joe Myers and wife Terrie of Floresville; her three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, and Melissa; and her two great-grandchildren, Abby and Josh.

A memorial funeral service was held Wednesday, April 18, at 1 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, officiated by Kelly Tankersley, S.A.M.
