The continued need for emergency medical services (EMS) squads from Floresville and La Vernia to answer calls in the Eagle Creek area has EMS directors from those two squads seeking the county’s help. Mary Hernandez of Floresville-based Wilson County EMS addressed the Wilson County Commissioners Court about the issue at its April 23 meeting. . . .

Honestly, I sincerely think a County Wide EMS contract is perfect. Whether is Acadian, American Medical Response (AMR) or perhaps even Metro, I think it would be but cheaper for the county and to have Paramedics on every truck... More ›

I'm sorry,but if I lived in La Vernia, id drive across the bored into Bexar County and call 911. At least then id get Acadian with Paramedics onboard.

La Vernia EMS flies everything out because they don't have anything higher than an Intermediate. Why don't they have any Paramedics?
