FLORESVILLE -- The 2012 Wilson 4-H Rifle Team includes Wilson County 4-H kids from grades 3-12.

Each year, the team begins safety classes with the shooters in January, and begins shooting the week after the Wilson County Junior Livestock Show in February.

The team had 59 shooters this year, and hosted an invitational shoot in Floresville. Shooters also attended three other invitational shoots. The top shooters from the Juniors, Junior Intermediates, Intermediates, and Seniors were also slated to compete at the District 10 Match to be hosted by Wilson 4-H Rifle Team April 14 in the show barn.

Junior team No. 1 includes Chase Bynum, Clayton Matney, Logan Recker, and Amylia Ryan. Junior team No. 2 members are Austin Welfel, Colton Bennett, Dylan Williford, and Austin Rumsey.

Kyle Dawson, Asher Welfel, Shawn Holder, and Stephen Jacob make up the Junior Intermediate team. Chris Jacob, Jacob Bailey, Mercedes Guevara, and Tyler Leyva are the Intermediate shooters.

In the Senior ranks, Serina Holder, Michael Barclay, Kyle Crowder, and Tristan Summy make up team No. 1. Cameron Clark, Blake Eddings, Austin Caka, and Brandon Williams form team No. 2.

The team’s organizers thank all the new coaches, leaders, and parents who took the time to work with the kids to help them be their best. They wish all the shooters the best and all Bulls.
