Annie Edna Odom of Seguin, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the age of 88. She was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Wilson County to Charles and Mary Howe.

She was co-owner of Johnny’s BBQ and worked at Keller’s Bakery as well as Walnut Springs Bakery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ennis Howe; her granddaughter, Tammy McKinny; and her special companion, Emil Tschoepe.

Annie is survived by her daughters, Brenda Herbold and husband Henry, Barbara McKinny and husband Tommy, Shirley Herbold and husband Jimmie, Mary Beth Gonzales and husband David, and Dawn Caddell and husband Ray; her grandchildren, Dylan Herbold, Lisa Bloch and husband Wesley, Lois Elley and husband Chad, Jason Herbold and wife Tina, and Holden Caddell; great-grandchildren Jenefer Herbold, Hunter Herbold, Chloe Bloch, Lily Bloch, Ty Elley, and Brady Elley; her niece, Diana Smith; her nephew, Fred Howe and wife Cindy; and numerous friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 1, from 5-7 p.m. in the Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Seguin with the Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tammy McKinny Memorial Scholarship, P.O. Box 147, Seguin, TX 78156.

Pallbearers include Dylan Herbold, Jason Herbold, Wesley Bloch, Chad Elley, Holden Caddell, and James Odom.

Honarary pallbearers include her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

I too, want to sent my sympathies to the family. I knew Shirley when we were kids - and an in-law of Dawn. Mrs Odom loved her girls furiously. She was straight forward - good women. Debra Richardson
