ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. 1926-2012

Lydia B. Estrada passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 11 days. She was born Dec. 17, 1926, in Floresville, the daughter of Damacio and Inocenta Barrera. She was a lifelong resident of Floresville and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and five sisters.

Lydia is survived by her daughter, Sandy Flores of Floresville; her sons, Raul Estrada and wife Paula of Floresville, Mario Estrada and wife Margaret of San Antonio, and Rene Estrada of Floresville; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 1, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.
