The Floresville Tractor Technician Team of Mathieu Seguin, Craig Sumner, and Paul Stratemann competed in the Texas FFA Area VII qualifying contest at the Texas State Technical College in Waco.

The team placed second in area competition and qualified for the state contest during the Houston Livestock Show.

Stratemann was the second high point individual at area and the high point in the state competition in Houston. The Floresville team placed eighth in the state FFA contest.

The contest consists of a 100-question, general-knowledge test; a 100-question components test; and the tractor debugging.

The team would like to thank Ewald Tractor in Floresville for helping them prepare for this year’s contest.
