What does Political Soap Really Mean?

Politics! Represents Power. Soap! Represents a product that removes dirt from our clothes, dishes, and our bodies.
Or the two words together could mean Political Soap Operas. Stories like John Edwards cheating on his dying wife is a very REAL Political Soap Opera.
Obama eating dog and Governor Romney having his dog in a dog carrier on the roof of his car while on a vacation, represents THE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA!
Hillary Rosen (a Lesbian) saying that Ann Romney never worked a day in her life, represents the venom that women can spew on National TV and think that they will not experience a push back by women who are married and have chosen to stay home and either home school or just be a good Mom to their children. Raising children is NOT an easy life. Many women who are blessed enough to stay home and raise their children work very hard, AND they also must be able to manage home finances, maintain a positive environment for their family and maintain a positive attitude even when there are tough days. This is not an easy task and it is HARD WORK.
Now here is a Black and White Contrast and Comparison Political Soap -.
1. A young black man killed by a Hispanic/White man who thought that his neighborhood was being threatened. Imagine yourself in the situation. Both were standing up for what they perceived as their rights. Ultimately a Jury will make the call on this one. BUT, the Black Panthers were able to put out a wanted poster and offered a $10K bounty on Mr. Zimmerman. The Rev Sharpton made sure that there was an uprising and that Mr. Zimmerman and his family were forced into hiding to prevent their lives being taken. Even the President of the United States felt he had to become involved. The bottom line on this one is that TWO people met in the dark of night, strangers, did not communicate, one was being hit and beaten because the other thought his rights were being violated, and the other shot the young black man with his gun because he thought his life was in danger. End of Story.
2. A young White Mother taking her new baby to the doctor for a checkup. All of a sudden a Black Woman who had suffered a lot of the Doctor's office. I ask you - Where is Rev Sharpton? Where is the President? Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is the OUTRAGE? What is wrong with this picture? Could it be that it was because it was a White woman who was killed and her baby taken? Would Obama not want to tell the family how sorry he was that their daughter was viciously killed and her newborn baby kidnapped? Where is the outrage from Americans? What has this country turned into? Is it because we have a Black President that White people no longer count? I thought that each life on this earth was miscarriage decided to selective kidnap a newborn baby belonging to a young White woman in the parking considered precious - NO MATTER WHAT COLOR, RACE, CREED, etc, and that everyone one has the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
The above two examples show how little the human life is valued are so very sad and so avoidable. But it is indicative of the world that we live in - UGLY AND VIOLENT!
Politics are dirty games. Soap represents clean. They do not go together - the two words are polar opposites. Dirty Politics are alive and doing well in the work place, in our schools, in local government , in businesses, in movements, in churches, in organizations, and just about any other place where groups gather. People who are power hungry are the most vicious individuals and they are embedded in every aspect of our lives. If they hold a political office we can vote them all out of office, but if they are not replaced with individuals who are sincere in their desire to make America a stronger Nation, it just will not work! If they are within organizations we belong, we can chose to leave the organization, or stand up for what is right and help make changes in the Leaders.
Look around you when you attend a School Board meeting, a Church gathering, or a group of people who have a common interest in a hobby. Can you pick out the ones with a hidden agenda? They are there, just like the current POTUS.....
November 6, 2012 is going to be the most important day of your life for you, your children, your grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Take time to really become involved in all facets of your life where it comes to the Government (Local, State, and Federal) and whom you vote for to "control" your life. |
