■ Commissioner, Pct. 3

Raised in San Antonio and a 1976 graduate of Roosevelt H.S., I attended college on a full scholarship. My wife, Mary, and I have been married for 20 years, living in La Vernia since 1993. Our community involvement includes the Wilson County Republican Party, Greater LV Chamber, S.S. Water board, ESD No. 1, historical association, Bluebonnet Festival, BBQ Cook-off, and Twin Oaks neighborhood watch.

My 30-year-plus management career includes management roles for Koepp Chevrolet and Ancira Ford. I also worked for Lamar Constructors in San Antonio, constructing roads and surveying grades. I currently work in construction.

Wilson County is at a crossroads and needs to transition from a small community to a growing metropolis. We need to plan for the growth.

I will:

•Take a proactive approach to growth and develop a plan for five and 10 years.

•Develop budgets for road maintenance and other things that deteriorate over time.

•Deal with stray animals.

•Support a one-unit road manager system.

•Set bimonthly meetings for public input on Commissioners Court issues.

Planning for the future can help preserve what we built in the past. Let’s work together to make our community a better place for all.

I ask for your vote.
