I have owned and operated my own welding, construction, and ranching business for 28 years. Repairing and maintaining equipment, erecting buildings, site work, clearing land, building roads and bridges, and managing budgets and payroll are among my skills. I have served as a firefighter for 24 years, 15 as chief. In the fire service, I trained in emergency management and incident command; worked with local and state government, civic organizations, and surrounding departments; and wrote successfully for grants. . . .
