■ Commissioner, Pct. 3

I am Bobby Richter and I am asking you to consider supporting me for the Wilson County Pct. 3 commissioner’s position.

My parents moved to La Vernia in 1957. My dad was the vocational agricultural teacher for many years and my mom was the organist for Immanuel Lutheran Church.

My wife, Shirley, and I, along with our son, live in La Vernia and are active in the community. I am currently serving and have served 10 years on the city council and also have served four years as mayor pro tem. I am also on the Canyon Regional Water Authority board of trustees, serving 10 years, working toward maintaining superior water supplies in our local and rural areas.

I am self-employed, therefore understand the complexities of today’s finances and issues, priorities, and goals. I understand budgets and long-term financial goals and policies. I have worked to keep taxes and expenses at a reasonable level, combating today’s high inflation.

I will work hard with the other commissioners of Wilson County, as well as keep an open mind for constructive input and suggestions.

I would appreciate your support on May 29.
