■ Constable, Pct. 2

I am a 1970 graduate of Floresville High School and attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville. I am the son of the late Robert J. and Melba Stevens.

My wife, Alice, and I have been married for almost 30 years and together we have four children and five grandchildren. My family attends Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

I am a certified peace officer, having served as a reserve deputy under Sheriff Joe D. Tackitt Jr. for over 16 years, and I currently serve as constable, Pct. 2. I hold a Master Peace Officer certification with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. For the past 36 years, I have been a member of the Floresville Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief for 17 years. In addition to my position as constable, I am employed with Floresville Electric Light & Power System, with 33 years of service.

I will continue to work hard to carry out the duties of the constable’s office to the best of my ability for constituents of Precinct 2 and all the citizens of Wilson County. I ask all Precinct 2 residents for your vote in the Primary Election on May 29.
