■ U.S. Congress, District 15

My name is Jane Cross. I teach communication part time at South Texas College, am a small-business owner, and have no political background, other than as a concerned United States citizen. My reasons for running are the “three G’s”: God, Graciousness, and Guns! We need to put God back into our country. We let one dictate the masses. Be Gracious in all things, because we need to respect and help each other.

The economy, immigration, education, environment, and military are my issues: economy -- opening up drilling to U.S. companies in the Gulf, and loosening bank regulations to help small businesses grow and employ more people from the private sector; immigration -- work visas made easier, so borders will be easier to secure; military -- secure their benefits and more respect for their services.

The third “G,” Guns: the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms, is not negotiable.

I have a servant’s heart and want to be a servant to you, “We the People.” What I plan to accomplish is to serve the people by listening to their voices and voting accordingly.

Your vote will be appreciated!
