1942-2012

Dora Arce Riojas, 70, of Nixon, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was born March 23, 1942, in Nixon, the daughter of Alejandro and Carmen Espinoza Arce.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Riojas Jr.; her parents; her son, Joe Riojas III; her sisters, Janie Garcia and Mary Garza; and her brothers, Salvador Rodriguez and Isidore Pena.

Dora is survived by her children, Rosemarie Rogers and husband Jack, Arthur “Tudy” Riojas, and Sandra Nino and husband Ricardo; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, May 5, at 9 a.m. in the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel in Seguin.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the mortuary chapel.

Interment followed in the Latin American Cemetery in Nixon.

The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for their loving care.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
