Gospel association elects new president
SAN ANTONIO -- Gene Triesch of Blanco has been elected president of the South Texas Gospel Music Association, a Christian-based organization of gospel music singers, songwriters, fans, and churches that promote gospel music throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Gene and his wife, LaVada, manage Menorah Music Ministry from their family farm outside of Blanco. Throughout the year, the singing duo perform country gospel music at churches, festivals, and other venues -- and have appeared on God’s Learning Channel, a satellite television network which broadcasts Christian programming internationally.
As president of the South Texas Gospel Music Association, Gene plans to increase membership, promote its Christian mission, and create new and exciting member services that will assist members in their individual ministries. Its annual Gospel Music Convention & Music Showcase will take place on Saturday, April 28, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in San Antonio.
