Team roping in Pleasanton
Cowboy Fellowship of Atascosa County will sponsor the ninth annual team-roping event as part of the Heritage Days Saturday, May 12. The event will be held in the covered facility located at 561 F.M. 3350 in Pleasanton.
Books open at 2 p.m. with roping set for 5:30 p.m.
There will be two ropings, No. 13 Slide and No. 10 with No. 5 plus cap. Ropers can enter one, draw two; or enter open and draw three. Entry fee is $125.
Books for the No. 10 with No. 5 plus cap will close prior to short round of No. 13. Maximum amount of entries is four per roper in each roping. No extra runs will count toward high-point awards. Only one average buckle per roper will be allowed.
Producer Cass Ringelstein has put together a lot of prizes for the cowboys, including buckles, boots, jeans, saddles, and $1,000 added money.
Bob Berg belt buckles will be given to first in average in No. 13 slide and to first through fifth place in average in the No. 10. Justin Boots will be awarded to the fastest time in the first round. High-point header and heeler in the No. 13 will be given $500 each. Fully tooled custom saddles will be given to high-point header and heeler in the No. 10.
No ice chests, coolers, or alcohol will be allowed on Cowboy Fellowship grounds. Current negative Coggins will be required.
