Eight Floresville Middle School students, grades seven and eight, competed in the Texas Future Problem Solving 32nd annual State Bowl in Austin on April 13-15.

These students were selected from among 1,000 groups of students statewide to compete at the event based on their outstanding problem-solving skills.

Floresville Middle School and the community were very well-represented by this hard-working group of students. The students comprising the eighth-grade team have qualified for State three years in a row, a first at Floresville Middle School.

Those attending were seventh-graders Jared Labus, Guillermo Garcia, Zoey Wiatrek, and Kolten Bippert. Eighth-graders attending were Kaitlin Serna, Sharon Halliburton, Natalie Adams, and Malika Newman. Coaches attending the event were Stacie Miller, David Merten, and Linda Lucio. Also accompanying the students were Mr. and Mrs. John Adams.
