Oscar Dale ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 73 years, 4 months, and 14 days. He was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Oscar David and Icy Hutchinson.

He was a resident of Floresville for 21 years and a former resident of San Antonio. Oscar was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 515 AF & AM, Harlandale Masonic Lodge, and Scottish Rite. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Air Force and then was with the civil service for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Lillian Hutchinson, Dorothy Hutchinson, Ruth Adams, and Faye Holland; and his brothers, Arthur Galen Hutchinson and James Merle Hutchinson.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Kathlyn Hutchinson of Floresville; his sons, Eric Hutchinson of San Antonio and Jared Hutchinson and wife Kimberly of Killeen; his sister, Shirley Campbell of Floresville; his granddaughter, Emily Hutchinson of Killeen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Thursday, May 10, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Gordon Lindley officiating.

Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were the Masons.
