Carolyn Cherie (Heinesh) Mason, 64, of Adkins, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012. She was born Jan. 12, 1948, in San Antonio to Randolph and Francis Lilian (Finkbeiner) Heinesh.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Linda Truesdell and Janice Harkins; her brother, Steve Heinesh; her nephew, Joshua Mitchell; and her niece, Mary Lipinski.

She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Mason Sr.; her children, Richard K. Mason Jr. and wife Tina, Michael Matthew Mason and wife Melinda, Melissa Darlene Taylor and husband Jason, Daniel Mark Mason, and Stephen Samuel Mason and wife Kristin; 12 grandchildren; her sisters, Susan Lucero and husband Tom, Judy Lipinski and husband Eddie, and Darlene Mitchell and husband Jeff; her brothers, Jack Heinesh and wife Margaret, Randy Heinesh, and Curtis Heinesh and wife Mollie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 15, from 6-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A prayer service followed in the chapel at 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel with David Harkins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Concrete Cemetery near La Vernia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
