ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Offer condolences


Arthur George Vogt, 68, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 7, 2012. Arthur was born Sept. 4, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Herman and Socorro Vogt.

He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 67. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gilbert Vogt; and his mother-in-law, Julia Haygood.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janis Vogt; his children, Ralph Vogt, Roxanna Longoria and husband David, Raquel Vogt and husband Jim Mayfield, Rudolph Vogt and wife Jeannie, Robert Kramer and wife Jennifer “J.J.”, Sara Vogt, Jonathan Vogt, and Madeline Martinez; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arthur is also survived by his father-in-law, John Haygood; sister-in-law Joan Villa and husband Scott; former wife Ruth McCumber; his sisters, Stella Arvizu, Elsie Pena, and Susie Vogt; his brothers, Leroy, Ronnie, and Tony Vogt; and close friends, Kurt Mosel and wife Jean, Eric Mosel and Louis C. Mosel, Melvin Jandt and wife Andrea, John Robert and wife Chris, Charles Wolfe, Marty Ceballos, and Rick Johnson and wife Pat.

Visitation was held Friday, May 11, from 5-9 p.m. in the Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home in San Antonio.

A prayer service was held Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A funeral service was conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bennie Herrera officiating.

Interment followed in the Hermann Sons Cemetery in Macdona.
