SAN ANTONIO -- Mitchell Lake Audubon Center invites you to become a Mitchell Lake docent.

The Mitchell Lake Audubon Center mission is to instill a shared appreciation and sense of stewardship for the natural world through hands-on nature education, citizen science, and conservation of the Mitchell Lake Wildlife Refuge. Volunteering is an exciting and rewarding way to support the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center.

The center is looking for individuals who want to instill this appreciation through education that is hands-on, interesting, and fun.

Training begins Saturday, May 19, and runs through Saturday, June 9. Classes are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Training cost is $35 and covers all materials. Docent classes will be held at the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center in San Antonio, at 10750 Pleasanton Road.
