LA VERNIA -- First Baptist Church Sutherland Springs Youth Group will host a demolition derby Saturday, May 26, from 6-9 p.m. The 10-lap “GRASCAR” race event will be held at 12735 U.S. 87 next door to The Tote, and across from Busy Bear.

A $5 donation is suggested for spectators. No outside food or drink will be allowed, but a concession stand will be available. Spectators are asked to take their own chairs.

Those interested in participating in the derby should contact Kip Workman at 830-391-3100 for information, rules, and entry fees. All event proceeds will benefit the youth group.
