Freedom Riders 4-H elects new officers
by Logan West
Freedom Riders 4-H Club held its end-of-year meeting on May 6, where they elected the new officers for 2012-13.
Taking office were President Darby Jones of Stockdale; Vice President Mason Cervantes of Floresville; Secretary Adriana Backer of La Vernia; Treasurer Madison Posey of Floresville; Historian/Reporter Logan West of Stockdale; Council Rep. Dylan Jones of Stockdale; and Community Service Organizer Tanner White of La Vernia.
After the elections, club members and parents enjoyed a cookout, a covered- dish dinner, and a pool party at the Leslie Lane Llama Farm.
Everyone had a great time. We would like to thank the Leslie family for all they do for the club.
The club members are very proud of their retiring officers and newly elected officers.
West is historian/reporter for the Freedom Riders 4-H Club.
