ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Frank Albert Mutz Jr., a lifelong resident of Kosciusko, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 5:36 a.m. in the downtown Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 4 days. Frank was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Cestohowa, the son of Annie Wrobel and Frank Albert Mutz Sr.

He attended schools in Cestohowa and Falls City, and was an equipment mechanic for TxDOT for more than 30 years. Frank married Joyce Ann Lyssy on May 27, 1961, in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Henry Mutz; and his sister, Mary Mutz.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Joyce Ann Lyssy Mutz of Kosciusko; his children, Frank Mutz III of Kosciusko, Thomas Mutz and wife Brenda of Kosciusko, and Stephen Mutz and wife Nancy of Falls City; his sister, Helen Mzyk of Gillett; his brother, Albert Mutz and wife Magdalene of Kosciusko; his grandchildren, Frank Mutz IV, Matthew Mutz, and Elizabeth Mutz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, May 21, at 5 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Poth.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel officiated by Kelly Tankersley, S.A.M.

Interment followed in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Poth.

Serving as pallbearers were Frank Mutz IV, Matthew Mutz, Michael Mutz, Jerome Mutz, Richard Mutz, and Thomas Schraub.
