Robert and Mary Ann Freitag of St. Hedwig, Texas, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

The couple met at the Chamber of Commerce in La Vernia, and were married on June 30, 1962, in St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Martinez, by Father Liam P. Brosnan. They have seven children and two foster children. They have 13 grandchildren.

They will be honored at a Mass on Saturday, June 30, in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, followed by a private family dinner in the Beef and Bourbon Restaurant.

In late August, they will be going on a celebratory seven-day cruise with their children and grandchildren to Jamaica, Grand Caymen, and Cozumel.
