FLORESVILLE -- Floresville’s voters could be left to decide in November whether the city issues $1.8 million in certificates of obligation aimed at funding athletic fields. Organizers of a petition circulated in accordance with Section 271.049 of the Texas Local Government Code say that 383 registered voters signed the document, which was presented to Floresville City Secretary Margaret Aranda today at 3 p.m. They also plan to present the petition at the Floresville City Council meeting set to begin at 7 p.m.
