Jessica Davis won the La Vernia Primary annual first-grade spelling bee. Jessica won after 12 rounds of intense competition. It was an incredible event with 50 students participating. The competition was tough and third-grade words had to be used to find a winner!

La Vernia Primary thanks the La Vernia Primary faculty and staff for assisting in the event. Shirley Myers, America Guerrero, and La Vernia School Board member Janice Gimbel were awesome judges. Margaret Wortham was a super pronouncer of the word lists. Jennann Evans, Brittany Hyatt, Barbara Schneider, Guyna Polasek, Linda Hodge, Nancy Bielefeldt, and Valerie Farris were great volunteers.
