Trainer Cyd Birns and her Arabian stallion PFM Calypso have made the cut into the America’s Favorite Trail Horse semifinals. Like the “American Idol” competition, advancing to finals and then winning depends entirely on people voting for the horse they like best.

This contest is six weeks total and is entirely on-line. Each week, 10 new videos are posted, five professionals and five amateurs. Voting is open for 48 hours once each new group is posted.

Birns runs PFM Enterprises, a training and rehabilitation facility between La Vernia and New Berlin (Guadalupe County).

The Birns/Calypso video was posted on May 29. Go to http://www.actha.tv/afth to vote. Voting closes Thursday, May 31, at 7 p.m. at which time the winners for that week will be posted. They will be in the professionals division.

For more information, email pfmenterprises@gmail.com or visit www.pfment.com, which has links to the PFM Facebook and YouTube pages.
