The Green Party of Texas will hold its state convention June 9th and 10th outside San Antonio at the Grey Forest Scenic Clubhouse, near the community of Helotes, at 18249 Sherwood Trail, Grey Forest TX, 78023. The convention will be streamed live on the Web; a link will be available at the party's website.

The agenda for the state convention (attached) is to nominate and elect its statewide slate of candidates, elect delegates to its national convention in Baltimore, MD on July 12-15, elect the party's state officers, and conduct other party business. Guest speakers (some via livestream) will include presidential candidates Dr. Jill Stein, Roseanne Barr, Kent Mesplay, and Texans Rhett Smith and Star Locke.

Texas Greens have fielded a slate of 56 candidates across the Lone Star state; a .pdf listing is attached.

On Friday June 7th, the GPTX will host Move to Amend and former Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb as part of his Texas Barnstorming Tour. Move to Amend is the ongoing effort to nullify via constitutional amendment the US Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United, which has enabled the unprecedented growth of political ad spending and Super PACs.

The Green Party's Ten Key Values guide all Greens toward the goals of economic and social justice, environmental future focus and sustainability, nonviolence and respect for diversity.
