She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to her family and friends. She loved music and working with children, and enjoyed attending as many activities as possible of her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Thomas Beynon Jr. and Frank Priour Beynon.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John R. Winhoven; her son, Randall L. Markel and wife Barbara Ann; grandsons Taylor W. Hansen, Kyle G. Hansen, and Jonathan C. Markel; sister Bonnie L. Trexler; sisters-in-law Carolyn Beynon and Victoria Beynon; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

The family received friends Monday, June 4, from 6-8 p.m. in Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio.
