1935-2012

Susan Beynon Winhoven went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 2, 2012, after a long illness. She died in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 77 years. She was born on Feb. 13, 1935, in Corpus Christi to Thomas Eugene and Edna Priour Beynon.

Susan was a real estate broker in Floresville for many years and was a member of Oak Hills Community Church before moving to San Antonio in 2004, where she became a congregant of Cornerstone Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to her family and friends. She loved music and working with children, and enjoyed attending as many activities as possible of her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Thomas Beynon Jr. and Frank Priour Beynon.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John R. Winhoven; her son, Randall L. Markel and wife Barbara Ann; grandsons Taylor W. Hansen, Kyle G. Hansen, and Jonathan C. Markel; sister Bonnie L. Trexler; sisters-in-law Carolyn Beynon and Victoria Beynon; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

The family received friends Monday, June 4, from 6-8 p.m. in Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio.

A service was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, followed by interment in Mission Burial Park North.
