AUSTIN -- Two Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives were captured in recent days, including a Barrio Azteca gang member arrested by Mexico police and turned over to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and other law enforcement agencies in El Paso. Another fugitive with ties to the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service in California.

Ricardo Zuniga, 32, who had been a Most Wanted Fugitive for nearly two years, was arrested in Ciudad Juarez during an ongoing weapons and drug investigation by Mexico authorities. He was taken into custody at the Stanton Bridge in El Paso Wednesday night by the DPS Criminal Investigations Division, U.S. Marshals Service and El Paso County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the FBI and the Diplomatic Security Service. Zuniga was wanted for Capital Murder by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office related to a June 2009 homicide. Since no tip was involved, no reward will be paid. See his wanted poster for more details at: http://www.dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted/capturedDetails.aspx?id=5.

Paul Joseph Borreson, 56, was captured yesterday by the U.S. Marshals Service in Fresno, California, after a tip was received regarding his location. In addition to his ties to the Aryan Brotherhood, he had been arrested 46 times in at least 11 states on a variety of charges. His last known address was in San Angelo. A $7,500 reward is expected to be paid. For more information, view his wanted poster at: http://www.dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted/fugitiveDetails.aspx?id=131.

So far this year, DPS and other agencies have arrested 15 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including 10 gang members. Texas Crime Stoppers, funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, has paid a total of $33,000 in rewards for tips that led to an arrest in 2012.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives featured in the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program. You can find the current lists--with photos--on the DPS website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/texas10mostwanted/.

Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in four different ways:
•Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
•Text the letters DPS--followed by your tip--to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
•Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
•Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook messages are anonymous.

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives; they are considered armed and dangerous.
