Alice C. Estrada passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 17 days. She was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Floresville to Elisa and Frank Castro Jr.

She was a lifelong resident of Floresville, and a member of the Guadalupanas, the Spanish Choir, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Estrada Sr.; and her brothers, Reynaldo Castro, Eligio Castro, Rudy Castro, Arthur Castro, and Frank Castro III.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Dr. Theresa Estrada of Floresville; her son, Joe A. Estrada II of Floresville; her sisters, Bertha Casanova and husband Dan of San Antonio and Norma Carvajal and husband Oscar of Floresville; her brother, Henry Castro and wife Julia of Floresville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

A Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.

Pallbearers were Roland Castro, Paul Anthony Castro, Arthur James Castro, Dominic Carvajal, Marshall Castro, and Randy Leal.
