Joseph and Charlsie Korzekwa of Denhawken, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katy Lynn, to Clayton Jared Kasprzyk, the son of Carolyn Kasprzyk of Victoria and Clem and Lajuana Karprzyk of Kenedy.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ben Korzekwa of Denhawken and the late Hattie Korzekwa, and Ninfa Butler of East Bernard and the late Billy D. “Red” Butler.

Katy graduated from Stockdale High School in 2004 and Texas State University in San Marcos in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication-advertising. She is currently employed with the Floresville Independent School District as an eighth-grade U.S. History teacher and coach.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Florence Scarborough of Kenedy and the late Bill Scarborough, the late Clem Kasprzyk Sr., formerly of Karnes City, and Archie and Marian Roberts of Austin and the late Idell Roberts of Lockhart.

Clayton is a 2004 graduate of Kenedy High School and a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He is currently employed with the Floresville ISD as an 11th-grade U.S. History teacher and coach.

The couple will exchange vows Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. in St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos, with a reception to follow in the Texas Old Town in Kyle, Texas.
