Skip the barbecues and picnics this year, and celebrate Independence Day with some Opry on Wednesday, July 4, from 5-8:30 p.m. in the Floresville Event Center at 600 S.H. 97 W. in Floresville. Doors will open at 4 p.m. The Floresville Opry Spectacular will have all the great classic country music you love, along with a fireworks show to end the evening. Entertainment will include the “Playin’ to Win Country Band,” featuring Wade Benson Landry’s “Swingin’ Cajun Style,” Teresa Landry, Leon Payne, and Sally Carlson.

Other featured performers will be Del Kubena and Bill Barrington. There will be 26 reserved tables that seat 10 available for $100 each, or $7 for general admission.

The Opry benefits the Wilson County Historical Society. Call Viola at 830-393-6512 or LaJuana at 830-393-2166.
