ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

LV Knights plan scholarship golf tournament June 24

FLORESVILLE -- The Knights of Columbus St. Ann’s Council No. 12208 will host its 14th annual scholarship golf tournament at River Bend Golf Club on Sunday, June 24. Registration is set to begin at 7:30 a.m., and play will start at 8:30 a.m.

The first-place team will receive $300, second place will get $200, third-place team will receive four rounds of golf, and the fourth-place team will receive one dozen golf balls per player. There will also be prizes awarded for the longest drives.

The entry fee is $60 per person for those who register and pay prior to June 19, and $65 per person thereafter. The fee covers greens fees, range balls, cart, lunch, and donation. Mulligans are available for $5 each, with a maximum of two per player.
