Friday, June 1

Hay prices mostly steady to firm on continued slow movement. Buyers are hoping for more rain to benefit hay growth and keep prices low. Many producers continue to stay busy cutting and baling hay. First cutting of hay was good but some are worried about getting enough rain for the second cutting. Feedyards are not very active in the hay trade and are currently stocked with corn stovers.

Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.

North, Central, & East Texas
