Brady Braun, the son of Burke and Julie Braun, is the Karnes City class of 2012 salutatorian. Upon graduation from high school, Brady plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall to pursue a degree in environmental science.

Brady enjoyed playing varsity basketball for the orange and black. The most memorable moment for Brady was when the Badgers won a game in double overtime his senior year against Sinton during the Karnes City tournament, he said.

He was very active in UIL academics, including Cross-Examination Debate and advanced to state two times. For three consecutive years, Brady advanced to regional competition in informative speaking. He also participated in current issues and events.

He really enjoyed having an opinion and trying to make a difference in his school, he said, and this drive has led him to hold officer positions in the National Honor Society, the Student Council, and as senior class president.

His advice to any younger students is to stay positive and have confidence in yourself and believe in your abilities to accomplish any goals!
