Blue Bonnet Club members meet

The Stockdale Blue Bonnet Club met June 11 in the home of hostess Judy Childress for the regular monthly business meeting. Upon arrival of the members, the hostess served refreshments using a watermelon theme. Items on the serving table were Watermelon Cooler (punch), Watermelon Salsa, decorated Watermelon Cookies, and assorted nuts.

President Sue McLelland conducted the business portion of the meeting.

Gina Deason, Bernice Person, Pat Rutland, and Barbara Wiatrek served refreshments of punch and cookies at the Watermelon Jubilee Queen’s Coronation on June 9 in the Stockdale Elementary School building. The Blue Bonnet Club members provided the refreshments.

The Club’s Float Committee had an entry, “Tea Time/Tee Time,” in the Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee Parade June 16.

Program Leader Pat Rutland presented an informative report on “Watermelons.”

Hostess for the August meeting will be Billie Jo Wolff, with Mildred Kallies serving as program leader. Teri Wolff will serve as the August Nursing Home Visitor.

Attending the meeting were members Charlin Akin, Edith Akin, Linda Carden, Judy Childress, Kay Deagen, Gina Deason, Sue McLelland, Bernice Person, Pat Rutland, Sharon West, Barbara Wiatrek, and Teri Wolff.
