Rounding up all cowboys, cowgirls, ranchers, and history buffs alike to meet on the first Saturday of the month (weather permitting) in the Floresville River Park on S.H. 97 W. in Floresville at 10 a.m. to take a tour of Floresville’s Rancho de las Cabras in the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.

Much of the American cattle industry of the 1800s was built on the legacy of these mission ranches. Learn about the equipment, vocabulary, and folklore of the mission vaqueros, while exploring remnants of Espada’s ranch.

Interested participants meeting at the park will caravan to the site. Boots and appropriate clothing are recommended.

For more information, call 210-932-1001.
