FLORESVILLE -- “I did nothing to threaten Ms. Castillo,” said Wilson County resident Deci Murphy during a June 27 interview with KENS 5-TV and the Wilson County News.

Murphy, 70, said she contacted her attorney, alleging that her civil rights were violated June 21 when Floresville City Manager Andy Joslin and members of the Floresville Police Department escorted her from Floresville City Hall. The incident occurred after Councilman Sherry Martinez Castillo complained that Murphy allegedly threatened her on June 14. (See “City bans senior citizen from council meetings,” June 27).

Further inquiries to the Floresville Police Department about the incident were directed to Lt. Jesse Evins, who was not in the office today. City Manager Andy Joslin said today via telephone that he witnessed the June 14 exchange between Murphy and Castillo, but would not answer whether he considered Murphy’s actions to be a threat.

“I can’t feel Mrs. Castillo’s feelings,” he said.

Joslin also said Murphy’s banishment from City Hall was “not for her views, but for her aggressive nature.”

So just hearing about this. What did Mrs.Murphy supposedly threaten her with? I will just say I know her personally and she's a great lady, outspoken and funny. More power to her.
