Compared to last week: Hay prices traded mostly steady on continued slow movement. Trade activity and demand continues to be light to moderate as dairies and feedlots continue to purchase only immediate needs and using previously contracted supplies. Furthermore, supplemental feeding of livestock is minimal as grass pastures and grazing lands have benefited from last several weeks rains in several areas. Most hay producers are working on their second cutting for the season; however in various areas rain is still needed. . . .
