Grizzlies to open registration, offer physicals

LA VERNIA -- The La Vernia Grizzlies Youth Sports Association will hold registration and give physicals for fall football and cheer this Saturday, July 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at La Vernia Chiropractic and Massage on U.S. 87 in La Vernia.

Dr. Bruen Goolsby, D.C., will open his office for the Grizzlies to register for the fall season and to have physicals for both football and cheer. The cost for a physical is $25, and Goolsby will donate $5 per physical back to the Grizzlies.

Registration is open to boys ages 4-11, and for girls ages 3-15. Flag football is available to kids 4-6 years of age, and tackle football is open to kids ages 6-11, as of Aug. 1. The registration fee is $155 for flag football, $210 for tackle football, and $95 for cheer.

The teams’ first practice will be Monday, July 30, from 6:30-8 p.m.
