Compared to last week: Hay prices traded mostly steady on continued slow movement as dry and hot temperatures have settled into many areas this week. Trade activity and demand continues to be light to moderate as dairies and feedlots continue to purchase only immediate needs and using previously contracted supplies. Producers reporting a good second cutting but worry if there will be a third if they do not receive some rain. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted. . . .
