Letter: Traffic light needed
I am asking for help in getting a traffic light in Stockdale at Hwy. 123 and Main Street where the blinking light is now.
We have had a lot of accidents here lately and with all these 18-wheelers passing by, and many of them going over the speed limit, the situation is getting worse. I’ve had several close calls myself.
Stockdale does not have enough DPS around to control traffic. On the morning of June 22, there was another accident in the same place where one of my relatives was killed. It is so scary to just get on the road.
I have a lot of family friends that are ready to sign a petition or do whatever we need to do to get a light installed before someone else gets hurt.
I have made some phone calls and was told to write to the area engineer at TxDOT:
4102 IH-35 South
New Braunfels, TX
I have written to Mr. Engelhardt, and hope others will do the same. My number is 830-391-1445 if you want to call me with any questions.
Please write a letter and help save a life.
