Found: 2 brindle cows, on Sept. 12, at the end of La Gura Rd. in South Bexar County, located between South Loop 1604 and the San Antonio River, Gillett Rd. on east and Schultz Rd. on the west. Call after 8 p.m., 210-310-9206.
Missing: Male Chihuahua, black/gray/white, named Spy, possibly missing from F.M. 775 around Vintage Oaks Subdivision and Woodlands area, Sat., Sept. 26 about 10 p.m. 830-391-5055.

Offer condolences


Bessie Deskin Busselmann, a longtime resident of Fairview, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 11:20 p.m. in her residence in Fairview, at the age of 96 years, 10 months, and 27 days. Bessie was born Aug. 15, 1915, the daughter of Wesley and Bessie Wilson Deskin.

She attended schools in Campbellton and was a homemaker. Bessie married George William Busselmann on Sept. 28, 1940, in Floresville. Bessie was of the Lutheran faith.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 50 years on May 26, 1991; and her brothers, Roger Deskin and Leonard Deskin.

Bessie is survived by her son, Allen Deskin of Fairview; her daughter-in-law, Linda Wakefield and husband John of Fairview; her grandchildren, Sara, Heidi, Joseph, and Natalie; her great-grandchildren, Ariel and Joshua; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel officiated by Kelly Tankersley, S.A.M.

Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Wilson County.

Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Divin, Roger Deskin, Gordon Deskin, Doyle Deskin, Wade Deskin, and Joey Deskin.
