Teachers and youth leaders, join the Junior Master Gardener training, “Gardening from the Ground Up” Tuesday through Thursday, July 24-26, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Texas Agricultural Education and Heritage Center’s Big Red Barn at 390 Cordova Road in Seguin.

This three-day training will include continuing education credits designed to improve students’ understanding in science, math, literature, nutrition, and wildlife. The Junior Master Gardening Program enhances school curriculum and supports the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills objectives, as well as prepares students for the STAAR tests. This training is jam-packed with hands-on activities and information that will give you the skills and support to start class gardening projects.

The cost is $30 and is sponsored by the Guadalupe County Master Gardeners.

For more information, call the Texas Agrilife Extension Service at 830-303-3889.
