The La Vernia Band Department would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the Band Booster Club and all of its members and volunteers for many countless hours of hard work and support -- we couldn’t have done it without you!

This was our first year incorporating the concession stand into our fund-raising efforts and we were overwhelmed with its success. The proceeds from the concession and concert revenue have enabled our Booster Club to provide several scholarships, private lesson staff, and many other essentials for our Band Department. We are forever grateful for the generous assistance! Next time you see a band concert announcement, or obtain a snack at a LV football game, know that you are helping us to achieve our dreams -- and we thank you.

New website

features

La Vernia Independent School District is excited to announce the use of an RSS Feed in conjunction with updates to their website. Look for the RSS logo and the words “LVISD News” on various community Facebook pages (The La Vernia Sports Association and La Vernia, Texas). The logo is located under the title of the page -- where you can click the link to open the News Feed. When you find an article you are interested in, you can double-click the title, which will take you to the LVISD website, where you will be able to read the article in its entirety. Another feature at the bottom of the article located on the school’s website is the ability to “share” the story. The district is very excited about these new features and hopes that the community will enjoy their benefits.

Kari Ring is the media consultant for the La Vernia Independent School District.
