Seguin Christian Academy (SCA) will hold its official chamber ribbon-cutting and open house on Thursday, July 19, from 4-6 p.m. at 515 E. Court, Suite 200, in Seguin. The public is encouraged to attend.

Refreshments will be served. Participants will have the opportunity to meet board members and staff. Enrollment is under way; the first day of school for the academy is Thursday, Aug. 23.

Seguin Christian Academy is accredited by the Texas Association of Baptist Schools, but offers a non-denominational, mission approach to education for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, with the intention of expanding through the eighth grade next year.

Mission schools do not require students to be Christians or to be active in any church. The curriculum emphasizes excellent academics, interesting enrichment classes, and biblical principles in a loving Christian environment, nurturing children to grow in body, mind, and spirit.
