BEAUMONT -- Lamar University conferred 1,299 degrees during commencement ceremonies in May 2012.

Among them were two area residents, Jeffrey Luna of Floresville, who received a master’s degree in administration; and Catherine Grace Cook of La Vernia, who also received a master’s degree in administration.
