Tax Cheat and Obama’s Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner failed to pay $34,000 in Social Security and Medicare taxes while working at the International Monetary Fund.

Democrat and former U.S. Senate Majority Leader, Tom Daschle, failed to pay more than $128,000 in taxes.

Democrat U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, LDS, is a dirty liar and did not release his taxes and lives in the Ritz Carlton (an expensive hotel for the puzzled people of the world). If LDS had a vision of taking over like Alvin says Harry is not playing according to plan.

Democrat Nancy Pelosi, vote for it and you will find out what is in the bill, did not release her taxes either.

Can we just vote for the guy who is going to improve the economy and not attack religion? GO MITT!!

A vote for Obama is a vote for failure. If he is re-elected, the US standard of living will go down. Christians will continue to be harassed (See Catholic Healthcare issues) and eventually relegated to nothing, the left will dictate what you can and cannot do and control your freedoms (See Bloomberg baby formula). Who cares if Mitt is LDS? He will protect religious freedoms and get the economy back on track. All these other Democratic lies is the only way Democrats can win. By lying and causing distraction from what is important. Obama is a failure as shown by his record. Give Mitt a chance. Don’t let Serpents like Alvin promise you an apple. It only leads to the misery of socialism, a failed economy policy, and the destruction of religious freedom.

The selection of like-minded individuals is no different than Jewish communities in NY which the majority of politicians in Jewish communities are Jewish. So, according to you theory, there is a plot for the Theocracy of Jews taking over the US. Joe Lieberman was part of the great conspiracy.

It so important to some that like-minded people vote in unison, the US government promotes official gerrymandering. Don't you remember all the lawsuits by Democrats over re-districting in Texas. So either you believe Obama has the same philosophy of Wright (who said “God Damn America) or you give him the benefit of doubt like I do Romney.

I have posted before I am a non-denominational Christian who believes a Christian is one who believes John 3:16. I think the Catholic Church is fallible like all churches so their opinion is just one opinion. I only know those who believe in John 3:16 will go to heaven. Outside of that, the Catholic Doctrine or any other churches doctrine is irrelevant to me.

As for voting, I think voters should pick the best candidate and not disqualify them because they call themselves Jewish or Mormon or whatever. Even if an LDS member is elected President your theory of them taking over is ludicrous as there are three branches to US Government. In Utah, the state is 62.2% Mormon, so I would expect by statistics alone the majority of elected officials would be Mormon. Duh!

PS If I chose on religion alone for voting and I don’t; I would vote for a man who attends a Mormon church versus Reverend Wright’s Church as Rev Wright preaches envy and hatred.

Mormons are approximately 50% of Salt Lake City population but Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, a Democrat who is a nonpracticing Episcopalianwon won 75% of the vote. How many examples do you need? Mormons vote for non-mormons.

Further, stating Mormons are not Christian is not a significant statement based on the fact the majority of non-Catholic Christian are going to hell according to Catholic doctrine (ie not Christian). This would hold true for other religions too. You would not do so well in Egypt where we ask Muslims to be open-minded. Anyhow, according to you, the candidate has to be a Christian only to get your vote. Then, if you are Christian you have to be a certain kind of Christian. However, even if you are the right kind of denomination of Christian, you don't have to follow any of the teachings of the church (Catholic), like gay marriage, abortion, etc.
For me, I believe God works with all people and choses to use them for the “Good.” Being bigoted and close minded like Alvin is not the love God speaks about. The New Testament talks a great deal about the conversion of Gentiles. Why did God allow his promise to the Jews, the chosen people, to be given to the Gentiles? He was the God of the Jews?
According to Alvin all a candidate has to say is I am one sort of Christian and I get his vote. They may be amoral, self-centered, devil in sheep clothes, etc. Judge not lest you be judged.

Further, Alvin states “The devil can act like a perfect gentleman, but he can't change what's in his heart and his intent.” So, are you saying Mitt Romney is the devil because he wants to ascend into heaven as a God? When has he said he wanted to ascend into heaven? Proof please. So, you know Romney’s heart? What bad things has Romney done? Does not his tree of life so far been well enough to earn praise and recognition for the good he has done? Church going, very charitable, still married and appears to be a “Good” person by all accounts. If you answer this question, ask the same of Mr Obama who spent years in a hateful church and does not follow the Catholic tenets of abortion and gay marriage. On the other hand, I bet you were a big George W Bush fan as he spouted off the most about his Christian convictions. I am sure he enjoyed your vote. Al Gore and John Kerry never followed their Churches' believes.

It is people like you who give Christians and all other religions a bad name. Further, I brought up many of the faults of the Roman Catholic Church. The candidates you support do not follow or support their doctrine and you have not addressed any of those comments. The treatment of Jews during WWII, the Crusades, the worshipping of the Virgin Mary, the Pope's infallibility on his thrown, and the question about how an outsider would say you have three Gods because the word Trinity means three, etc.

Prairie Grouch has presented facts that one could easily determine that the LDS church is a Christian church. Why should someone care about the religious choice of a candidate? None of them follow it except maybe George W. Do you really want a hardcore Catholic believer? Then you should have supported Rick Santorum. No abortion, etc. Or do you pick and choose based on your biased beliefs? Do you agreed with all the Roman Catholic teachings? How is the rhythm method for birth control working out for you? Those who use religious topics only to make their voting decisions; are picking the topics and using religion to their benefit and not God’s benefit. God will make the right choice. I would suggest prayer first and then logic to make a good argument.
Just because someone is Muslim, Jew or LDS is not disqualifier. John F Kennedy was sure glad the non-Catholics voted for him.

I say as long as the candidate appears to be reasonably moral and have the “best” ideas then he deserves consideration. We pick the candidate who represents are ideas best. Barrack Obama is a egotistical individual who worshipped in a vile church and is consolidating power into a small group of elites who will chose how we live (type of house, type of healthcare, what you can and cannot eat, what religion you can practice and where). Obama and his elitist friends don’t live in our world (private schools for kids, private colleges for them and payoff to friends – see stimulus). They are subjugating the masses by making them dependent on the government.
On the other hand, those voters who have an open mind realize smaller government equals more freedom. More freedom means more religious freedom.

feel closer to my god in a quiet natural place observing

Not being of the Catholic persuasion, I find it funny that the denomination that Protestant denominations love to hate is bad mouthing the LDS church. I remember growing up and going to numerous Christian churches who told me the Catholics where going to hell because they worshiped false idols. They even have extra books in the bible that other Christians do not use. Praying to the Virgin Mary seems odd for numerous Christian religions. Making people Saints which does not seem to follow other Christian Dominations is another issue of debate. The Pope speaking for God while on the Papal thrown seems odd; almost like the Pope is a God. We can’t forget the history of the Catholic Church where you could buy your way to heaven (some say that is still true) and the Crusades. Why Catholics do pray for dead people, isn’t there fate already determined? If not, doesn’t that sound crazy? How did the Catholic Church and Pope treat the Jews during WWII?

For me, John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Alvin is looking through his glass prism and fails to realize his Catholicism is not the only view of Christianity. In fact, his blind bigotry continues to surf in his comments. I have studied and been in many Churches. I personally don’t care what denomination at President in as long as they believe in a higher deity. Further, I am not sure why religious beliefs are a deciding factor for President. John Kerry was Catholic but believed in abortion. So, what parts of the Catholic religion is OK with Alvin? Good thing the American population didn’t buy this when John F. Kennedy was running. If you will recall, the fear was the Protestants would not vote for a Catholic.

In the case President Obama, his egotistical nature and actions would alone lead me not to vote for him. His attendance at a church with a racist and bigoted Pastor would be the second reason if I was only concerned with religion. We have religious freedom due to the strength of the US in the world. If we elect someone like Obama again, we will lose our strength and our religious freedom. Just like Protestants voted for Catholics; I think it is reasonable for Catholics to vote for a LDS protestant.

I will happily ask other christians here to respond, I'm more than happy to discuss the differences between christianity and mormonism... All religions preach good acts, not all religions are christian. The guy down the road from me is named jesus, if i pray to him that doesnt make me christian... The guy they're worshiping isnt the same jesus that christians worship. Thats as plain spoken as can be. Happy to invite anyone to refute that...

of Jesus Christ of the Later Day Saints is not a
christian church when in fact, it is the fourth largest
christian denomination in the US.

the vote of a totally misinformed person. I also

Who made you or any other representative of a religion the sole arbiter of a TRUE faith. People can be spiritual because they believe in a power greater than themselves (a cat does not qualify)and they repent,pray,help others and are decent human beings. They dont have to qualify themselves to your standards. Look, there does not have to be only ONE way that people find God. I have personally searched several different religions and after 60 years I understand that someone has always been there , to guide me,save me from myself as long as I ask for help and get out of the way. Also , I dont have to define him other than the God of my understanding in private moments. I have come to realize that there is a God and it is not me. Thanks for listening...

I'm sure that the Mormons are thankful the the Spanish
Inquisition is in the past. As stated prior, the definition of christian is one who believes in Jesus
Christ and that he is the son of God. Mormons believe that and use the bible as one of their books of worship.
You state that you have backed up all your claims.
Please reveal the name of the poll that asked 250 million
Christians their views on the LDS church. I bet it
was sponsored by the DNC. In your last reply to me,
you stated the number of Christians as 250 million.
In a prior post, you put the number at 274. Which
number is correct and which number is a lie ?

that children can't figure out what the word means ?
The same applies to abbreviated forms of vulgar phrases.
There are several persons posting comments on this
forum that practice transparent deception on a regular
basis. I can assure you that almost all middle school
students and a good portion of elementary know the
meaning of a particular letter of the alphabet followed

In just 40 years tv for instance has gone from banning words like damn, pregnant etc from the air to occasionally someone letting go with the 'f' word. Obama is just using the murders in Colorado as a piece of campaign rhetoric. Is it a coincidence that Colorado is a swing state and much needed to get re-elected? Obama is a political w h o r e . I do not even see any instances of sincere belief in any God or any moral principles by OB. I believe he really would trade his Mother for a few votes. Romney is a super family man and a man of God and principle. I just wished he gave off warm and fuzzy feelings.

The only hope that I see for America is defeat for Ababa and a concentrated effort by Romney in 8 years to turn it all around. If Obaba wins, our country and lives that we know and cherish are over.

Her last statement just talks about a "God fearing" man in the white house NOT a MORMON OR CHRISTIAN . It may be hard to believe that many Americans have had it with organized religions for many of the reasons that have been exemplified in this blog exchange . There are scores of " God Fearing " citizens that don't identify with any organized religious group and they would all make great neighbors AND/OR presidents.

as fact contrary to many sources including the National

step except you. While it is true that some churches
do not consider the LDS to be a christian church, that
is certainly the minority opinion in the United States.
The LDS church believes in Jesus Christ which I believe
meets the criteria for being a christian church. I sorta

first started viewing TV, the entire content could
be viewed by the entire family. Somewhere along the
the way, society as a whole decided it was proper for
adults to view smut after the children went to bed.
Of course the smut gradually grew to a point where
children could not be excluded from exposure. Look
not to the white house but to your own house. Why
adults concerned about the children thinks it's fine
to view and thus promote smut is not responsible child
care. Leadership by example should the slogan of every
responsible parent and grandparent.
Like Pogo said "We have met the enemy and it is us."
